Run As One

Greetings!
I’m a volunteer with Team Red, White and Blue, a veterans outreach organization that connects veterans to their community through phsyical and social activities. I wanted to inform you about a community event we’re hosting this Saturday…

Please find attached a press release and flyer – for your information, use and distribution – about Run as One at 10:30 a.m. March 28 at Point Defiance Park, meeting at Owen Beach.

Run as One is a joint run/walk and social event with fellow veteran service organizations Team Rubicon and The Mission Continues to celebrate the life of a veteran lost to suicide, Clay Hunt, and to celebrate the collaboration of our organizations in supporting our nation’s veterans. Please find additional details within the release.
Media are also invited to attend, and may contact me for more information at this email or at 703-501-4629.
Thanks!

9th Annual Pat’s (Shadow) Run/Walk

header.1The 9th Annual Pat’s Run will return on Saturday, April 20, 2013, as more than 35,000 runners, walkers, volunteers and spectators from across the country will unite to Run, Walk and Honor in support of the Pat Tillman Foundation. Last year’s run sold out in early April and registration already is ahead of pace.

The 4.2 mile run/walk is symbolic of the #42 jersey Pat wore at ASU. Through a partnership with the ASU Alumni Association, Pat’s Run Shadow Runs will be held nationwide spanning from Portland to New York, and many cities in between. Check the list of 30 cities hosting Shadow Runs for one near you.

Pat’s Run Shadow Runs are casual, fun runs held in community parks and recreational areas. Register online and select the Shadow Run team representing the city in which you wish to participate.

Shadow Run race shirts will be mailed directly to registered participants the week of Monday, April 15 to allow time for arrival prior to your Shadow Run.

For complete information and to register, visit patsrun.com. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the Valley’s most popular spring fitness event.
