NATIONAL VETERANS SERVICE

As the largest organization of combat veterans, we understand the frustrations that can arise with making a VA claim. That’s why our National Veterans Service (NVS) was created. Our nationwide network of skilled VFW Veterans Service Officers helps you wade through all the bureaucratic red tape, offering you a better opportunity to get the disability claim you deserve.

You don’t even need to be a VFW member to take advantage of this free service. As a veteran, this is a service you’ve earned.

SEPARATION BENEFITS

The VFW’s Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) program assists separating and retiring active-duty personnel in obtaining VA entitlements and benefits upon discharge. BDD representatives are ready to answer questions regarding education and medical benefits and VA home loans.

USING EDUCATION BENEFITS

Veterans can face any number of obstacles while furthering their education. Taking advantage of benefits they’ve earned shouldn’t be one of them. The VFW’s 1 Student Veteran program offers assistance to student veterans who have questions or encounter problems accessing their VA benefits.

VETERANS SCHOLARSHIPS

The VFW’s “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship” provides service members and veterans with the financial assistance they need to complete their educational goals without incurring excessive student loan debt.

Veterans and military families can face unexpected challenges that leave you in a bind. The VFW Unmet Needs program is there to provide veterans and service members dealing with financial crises with grants to keep them on their feet.

UNMET NEEDS VFW Unmet Needs helps service members and their families who run into unexpected financial difficulties as a result of deployments or other military related hardships. By providing urgent grants to service members and their families, VFW Unmet Needs is able to see that they are able to cope with emergencies and get them through already tough times.

MILITARY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM The VFW Military Assistance Program (MAP) gives our troops and their families the critical support the need before, during and after deployment.

SPORT CLIPS HELP A HERO SCHOLARSHIP The VFW and Sport Clips are giving the gift of scholarships to our nation’s heroes as a way of thanking them for their dedicated service to our nation.
